New Zealand Bound

Pride is going international - but not in the way you might expect. Yes, Sweet Adelines International Competition in Baltimore is just months away, but in 2017 Pride will be traveling halfway around the world - and down under - to join Sweet Adelines in New Zealand.

Have you ever dreamed of visiting the world "Down Under" and exploring the real "Middle-earth"? Now's your chance. New Zealand  is jammed packed with stunning vistas and diverse cultures, yet with a population of just four million people, it is gloriously uncrowded.

Kate Veeder, a Kiwi Sweet Adeline, has extended a once in a lifetime invitation to visit New Zealand and perform with "New Zealand's best": Great Auckland, Waikato Rivertones, Wellington City and Christchurch City choruses.

You must be a Sweet Adelines member in good standing though you do not have to be a member of Pride of Portland Chorus. You must be willing to attend special rehearsals as we get closer to our departure date and receive sheet music and learning tracks for music that will be performed while on tour.
